NEWS FROM ANNE AND THE HOSEA SCHOOLS
 |
Dear Friends,
I wonder if you can guess how many times I have now toured Finland and Europe! I was so surprised to realise that this past summer’s trip was my eleventh tour to this northern part of the globe, as year after year the Lord has kept telling me I need to go again. It is such a long way to travel to Europe from Australia but I’m happy to do it, as I have seen God’s hand upon the countries where I have been visiting. This trip was also somewhat different from the previous ones. There was a growing feeling of revival in the air, especially so in the meetings held in Finland.

We also had many wonderful meetings in England where I arrived at the end of May. I'm so grateful for your generosity - there's not a day that goes by that I do not think of each of you, my English friends! I hope you have been as blessed as I have been through our time together. A fresh anointing was falling in many places. God was touching people with healing power and giving new strength for the future. Special thanks to Pastors Anderson and Lydia at Sheffield Community Church for their welcome, and to Pastors Paul and Tokkie at Abundant Life Christian Centre where I was asked to teach at a weekend seminar. I do keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
During my visit to England, God healed one lovely lady (originally from South Africa). She told me later that she had suffered from hearing problems for quite some time in both of her ears. Nothing happened at first when I prayed for her but when she was on her way home from the meeting, God suddenly
opened one of her ears. The other one was mysteriously still partially deaf. The next day she came to me after the meeting to tell me what had happened and asked me to pray for the healing of her other ear. Amazingly, just as she was telling her story to me, at that very moment Lord suddenly opened her other ear and she was completely healed. Just speaking about her miracle brought the second miracle to her! God moves supernaturally, often in ways that are difficult for the human mind to understand.
I want to send my special thanks to Flora Amar for her hospitality and goodness towards us while visiting London. I pray blessings and the favour of God to stay upon you and your ministry. After spending a good week in England it was time to travel to France, where I first preached in Paris before continuing to Macon in Southern France. I believe we were pioneering something new in the Spirit and I am sure we will soon see the creative works of God in France. You all touched my heart. Thanks to my wonderful French friends who have stood by me during the past years. Your friendship has been a source of inspiration to keep this ministry going.
I have a great desire to see European nations receiving everything that God has reserved for them. As Isaiah 43:19 says: See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
I am also really looking forward to the next year as some great changes will take place in Europe and I do believe those changes will also have their effect on the spiritual atmosphere. The faith of many people has been affected by continuing adversities which also have worked as a threshing floor where the husk and grains have been separated. We need to repent now as the Lord has allowed this time for His people. Just like the people of Israel, we are being given the opportunity to come out of the wilderness and walk in peace close to Him. (Heb. 4:1-2)
A TESTIMONY OF HEALING MIRACLE
Lea Mustasaari, of Vantaa, Finland writes:
I came to a meeting held in Siion Church in Helsinki on 15th June this year and something amazing took place there. I have been in a queue for a back surgery for some time. I had already been operated once and now the second operation was due to take place this coming autumn at the latest. My illness has lasted since the beginning of the 1990’s and I have been on a disability pension due to my sickness since 1996. Oh, how much pain there has been throughout these years - every single night I have struggled to sleep because of it. I have been so exhausted through these two decades. But now there is no pain or discomfort left any more after Anne prayed for me! I did not have any faith left that I would be healed because I had prayed and visited so many prayer lines through the years. But now this great miracle has happened – what an expression of the goodness of God! I am so full of joy about my healing and so many other things as well! Halleluia!

OUR MINISTRY IN ASIA
I would like to take this opportunity to say how thankful I am to all of you who have donated towards the mission work in Asia. The Word of God says: “He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given.” Prov. 19:17
Our work in the Asia-Pacific Islands has gone forward tremendously. Our new pupils started the school year at the beginning of European summer and have already been through the first official exams with brilliant results, each and every one of them. Even a typhoon and lack of light due to no electricity could not stop our brave students from doing their exams – the teachers set up tens of candles to supply light for the important occasion! The floods were rising high and our pupils in Aroma were carried to school by their parents. When the flood waters started to wash over the school floors, all the important things were just calmly lifted up onto tables, with the studying continuing as nobody wanted to leave for home! Western students could learn a lot from this!
Our schools for slum children are already well known in the Ministry of Education in Manila because of their very good results, and they have been a continuing source of wonder in the Philippines. “How is it possible that such small children have already learnt to read and write and to understand what numbers mean, when that has not happened in other schools?” The answer is a very simple one (Prov.8:35): “For whoever finds me finds life, and obtains favour from the Lord.”
There are now more than 380 students in our schools in the Philippines. In Mamburao the number of pupils has risen to 220 which means that they have to study in three terms – our new school building is not yet ready for housing the children. The typhoon and continuing rains and floods have delayed the building works for five weeks. The floodwaters reached up to Pastor Sonio’s knees at his home and Hosea’s fishing boats were forced to stay in the harbour because of the storms. The Hosea 1 fishing boat set out for fishing a few weeks ago, as soon as the seas were calm enough. We purchased a new stronger engine for it and so we are again able to put it in good use.
When our new school building is ready to take the students in Mamburao, on Mindoro Island, we will at the same time bless 10 pastors to work in Hosea Churches in the Philippines. Our work has grown tremendously since 2008; the blessing and favour of the Lord have rested upon Hosea Ministry.
Also our Bible School in Papua New Guinea is doing very well. At the beginning of this year a new teaching period started for those who want to graduate to be pastors. Our work in Tonga has been strongly favoured too. A big thank you to our teacher Dorothy, who has a vision of winning the Tonga people to Christ. Through working with the young pupils we are able to reach to the adults as well. Because of this work amongst children revival is happening in Tonga and new churches have been planted. Winning the little ones to Christ is very valuable indeed.
I give my thanks to the Hosea team for this past summer. You have served faithfully and unselfishly voluntarily, often almost 24/7. A big thank you to the intercessors, each of you: you have made all this possible by your prayers. Thanks to all those who have come to the meetings, I have gained a lot of inspiration from you. You all have been wonderful, and I am missing you!
